Italy's oldest Carnival, memories, films, a powerful imagery rooted for centuries in one city: Fano. A tradition, that of papier-mâché, and master float builders who, generation after generation, have built traveling stages called floats with creativity, engineering, and craftsmanship. A masked figure, the Vulón, and his encounter with a child. He knows nothing about the Fano Carnival.
Inside food lies a world. Of people, of ideas, of stories. Some are so special they remain etched in the memory. Like photographs of the soul. So powerful that they evoke other equally unique stories, to be told together. Bringing them together, around a table, perhaps for the first time. One voice complements the other, finding the right harmony like a symphony. Of taste, of emotion, of life.
The documentary aims to recount the once-great mining industry in the Sulcis Iglesiente region of Sardinia through a unique female perspective. Reversing the common imagery that associates the mining industry exclusively with men, the documentary seeks to bring to light the stories of these female workers who helped pave the way for the emancipation of women today.
From the depths of memory, a mysterious voice recounts the triumphs and growing shadows of the Po Delta, where a balance has been shattered, perhaps forever. Amid the mists of the past and the uncertainties of the present, the ecological resilience of a family of fishermen from the Sacca di Scardovari is revealed. The film invites viewers to lose themselves in the Delta's gaze, decipher its mysteries, and question humanity's fragile place in this treasure trove of life.

Solitude’s Tool is an experimental documentary that follows Italian filmmaker Mirko Vercelli on a two-month solo journey through Southeast Asia. Armed with a vintage video camera, "a relational tool in the shape of a gun," he explores the fragile threshold between presence and disappearance. Born from darkness and loss, Solitude’s Tool becomes a rediscovery of life, an attempt to preserve the ephemeral, the accidental, and the overlooked.
Traveling through an unusual Italy, where artistic and landscape beauties intersect with the often unclear messages of those who came before us. From the Alps to the Apennines, from Venice to Florence or Rome, in the company of Albrecht Dürer or Fibonacci, we follow the thread of magic squares to discover that hint of mystery that will make us question our own knowledge.
Intimate dialogue with a blind woman who shows us her surprising way of seeing life.
The Tannin Factory uncovers the forgotten story of a plant that, from 1923 to today, shaped not only the economy but the very identity of a town. What begins as industrial history becomes something larger: a meditation on memory, resilience, and the transformation of places we think we know. Through personal voices, rare archival material, and the haunting presence of the factory’s towering chimney, The Tannin Factory speaks to a global audience living through its own crises of industry, environment, and memory.

We invite you to join us on an extraordinary adventure to discover Lunigiana, a magical land. Lunigiana is a historic Italian region, administratively divided between Liguria and Tuscany. It takes its name from the ancient Roman city of Luni, located at the mouth of the Magra River. The oldest human settlements in Lunigiana are linked to Neanderthals, as evidenced by finds in the Tecchia della Grotta di Equi Terme, dating back to the Paleolithic period.

As Luca tries to get as close as possible to wolves to understand them, he finds himself confronting the feelings of those who fear and love them.

NADO is an intimate and powerful journey through the life and work of one of the greatest Italian sculptors of the twentieth century. A story of resistance and courage, a human parable of will and joy that spans a whole century. Nado Canuti has faced the difficulties of life since he was young with tenacity and vision, transforming every obstacle into material to be sculpted. The story of a man who with three fingers shaped his destiny.
There is a voice that time has not silenced. It belongs to Oleg Mandić, the last child to leave Auschwitz alive. Filmed in Rijeka, Opatija, his private home, and the Auschwitz-Birkenau site itself, the documentary is built around the living testimony. The Last Child of Auschwitz is more than just a documentary about the Holocaust: it is a profound encounter with a man who chose life, armed with irony, strength, and a voice that still resonates.
Pizza Fritta is set in Sanità, a working-class neighborhood in Naples stigmatized by the Camorra. Carlo, a young director and actor who grew up on its streets, wants to create a show that gives a voice to the neighborhood's people through the many recipes that make up Neapolitan cuisine. Halfway between documentary and fiction, Pizza Fritta is a journey into the heart of Sanità, into the social reality that pulsates in a bittersweet atmosphere, yet full of recipes and hope.

During a lonely night in a mountain hut, the young protagonist reflects on the teachings of his grandfather, a guide and mentor who is no longer with us. Even as he climbs to the hut, he recalls the stories his grandfather told him as a child. As a new day dawns, he realizes that the knowledge passed down to him is of great value and that merging the past with the present is the key to preserving these teachings and passing them on to new generations, while also leveraging the innovations offered by technology, spreading greater awareness about the mountains.
The film recounts the extraordinary journey of Marco Altea, an entrepreneur with multiple sclerosis, who traveled from his hometown of Cagliari to San Francisco in a wheelchair. The documentary follows Marco on his journey to promote Whable, his innovative startup. The journey thus becomes a metaphor for overcoming limitations, a testament to how a disadvantage can transform an opportunity for change for the entire community.
We discover the saint's story through the Way of Saint Benedict, the famous route from Norcia to Montecassino, passing through small villages, fortresses, hermitages, and abbeys, but also through a wealth of rugged and wild nature, far from roads and inhabited centers.
In a small Sardinian village destined for depopulation, where the community is aging, young people are emigrating, and children are no longer being born, music resounds through the alleys of the historic center, in the woods, in an abandoned mine. A band, the same one that has been playing for a hundred years, accompanies a funeral without a coffin. The music mixes with the grief of the last widows mourning the dead, the silence of the now-empty spaces, the ringing of cowbells in a pagan procession carrying Christ on the cross on the night of St. Anthony's Fires. Few resist, and the miracle of a new music occurs.

UN PESCE COME UN PESCE

BIANCA ARCORIA
Terra Battuta (Ramped Earth) is a film documenting my ongoing exploration of raw, natural materials. Through the lens of my camera, I perform both a technique and a ritual: the ancient practice of rammed earth, specifically the superadobe method. This work examines how building with earth becomes a form of embodied knowledge, an active engagement with the underlying earth, and an invitation to connect with it. A symbolic return to the earth, through the soil, from which we all come.
